Farming steps
- Find the Lake House north of Muldraugh on the current map and choose an approach that avoids unnecessary travel through town.
- Scout the route and shoreline before unpacking gear; keep an exit to the house or road.
- Equip a rod or other currently available fishing equipment and add bait or tackle as the interface requires.
- Look for visible ripples or fish activity and cast toward active water rather than making repeated blind casts.
- When a fish bites, use the line-tension controls shown in Build 42 to keep tension in the safe range.
- Collect the fish only if you can carry it back safely, then process or cook it promptly.
- Return along the checked route and note which shoreline was practical for future trips.
- Bait, tackle, fish activity, and patch tuning can affect results; a shoreline does not guarantee a catch.
- Practice tension controls at a nearby safe water site before carrying valuable gear to a distant lake.

- Casting where no fish activity is visible; watch the water and target ripples when present.
- Reeling without managing tension; follow the interface and ease or reel as needed to avoid losing the line.
- Carrying a heavy raw catch through an unsafe route; process locally or take only what you can return with.
When to stop or switch
Stop fishing when activity is absent, gear is damaged, or retreat becomes unsafe; switch to a safer shoreline or another food source.
