WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Grass Plot Livestock Feed

Inside a fenced raft pen holding a tamed Clucker, Goat or Llama.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Build a fenced area on the raft before moving livestock into it.
  2. Place a Grass Plot where animals in the pen can access it.
  3. Supply fresh water to the plot so Grass can grow.
  4. Move captured livestock into the prepared pen after the feed plot is ready.
  5. Check the plot during normal raft upkeep and water it as needed.
  6. Maintain Grass access while collecting eggs, milk or wool from the animals.
  7. Add another plot or adjust the pen if your current setup does not keep Grass available.

Repeat, collect and use

This is a continuing maintenance loop: water Grass Plots, keep Grass available, then collect animal products. It does not make animal capture repeatable; finding animals still requires island trips.

Common mistakes

  • Using crop vegetables or flowers as feed: livestock require Grass from Grass Plots.
  • Leaving the plot unwatered: provide fresh water for Grass growth.
  • Building the plot outside the pen: keep feed access within the animals’ fenced area.

When to stop or switch

Maintain plots while livestock remain on the raft; reduce or stop the feed setup only when you no longer keep animals or have enough Grass access for your pen.
