A Grass Plot is the feed foundation for livestock. Place it in the pen, supply water and maintain the grass so animals have their required food. This target complements livestock collection by focusing on keeping the feed source working; capture itself remains a limited island activity.
This is a continuing maintenance loop: water Grass Plots, keep Grass available, then collect animal products. It does not make animal capture repeatable; finding animals still requires island trips.
Maintain plots while livestock remain on the raft; reduce or stop the feed setup only when you no longer keep animals or have enough Grass access for your pen.

Scarecrows help protect raft crops from seagulls so vegetable and flower plots can remain productive.
