WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Small, medium and large Crop Plots built on a protected raft deck; use the plot suited to the seed you want to plant.
Plant vegetables in the suitable Crop Plot on the raft, keep the plot watered with fresh water, and protect it from seagulls. Harvest the mature crop and retain seeds when available so the patch can continue producing.
Before you go A Crop Plot suited to the chosen seed. Seeds for the vegetable to grow. Fresh water for watering, or a powered sprinkler supplied with fresh water. A Scarecrow or covered placement to protect crops from seagulls. Build a plot on the raft where you can reach it easily and seagulls have limited access. Open the plot interaction and plant a compatible seed, such as a vegetable seed intended for that plot. Fill a cup with fresh water and water the planted plot. If using a sprinkler, connect it to power and provide its fresh-water supply before relying on it. Protect the crop with a Scarecrow or place it under suitable roof coverage. Check the plot during normal raft upkeep and harvest once the crop is ready. Use the vegetables for cooking or provisions, and save returned seeds to replant the same crop. Farming tips Keep a seed reserve so one harvest does not end the crop supply. Group plots near water and protection to make watering and harvesting part of one raft routine. Repeat, collect and use This is a renewable crop loop: plant a seed, water and protect the plot, harvest the vegetable, then replant with a saved seed when available.
Common mistakes Planting without watering: supply fresh water after planting and maintain the plot. Assuming a sprinkler works without setup: it needs power and fresh water. Leaving exposed crops vulnerable to seagulls: use a Scarecrow or appropriate roof protection. When to stop or switch Continue while the vegetables support your meals or recipes; pause planting when storage is full or water and protection are better used elsewhere.
