Where to farm
Wild flower patches on islands and flower crops grown in raft Crop Plots.
Gather flowers on islands, plant them in raft Crop Plots and preserve seeds from harvests. Different flower colors can support paint projects and give you choices for hive plots. Replanting makes the raft supply less dependent on finding wild patches each trip.
Crop Plot on the raft suitable for the flower seed.
Fresh water and protection for the flower plot.
Explore an island and collect visible wild flowers by hand.
Return to the raft and plant a flower seed in a Crop Plot.
Water the plot with fresh water and protect it from seagulls with a Scarecrow or roof coverage.
Harvest the flowers when the crop is ready and check for seeds to continue the patch.
Keep at least one seed of each useful color before using flowers for paint or other needs.
Place flower plots beside Beehives when you want the flowers to contribute to hive production.
Store surplus flowers or seeds separately so the supply for replanting remains clear.
Farming tips
Treat seed recovery as variable and maintain spare seeds when you have them.
Keep flower colors organized so a paint project does not consume the only seed reserved for a hive plot.
Repeat, collect and use
Plant, water, protect and harvest the flowers; replant with recovered seeds. Wild flower gathering is repeated on island visits, while seed returns from crops are not guaranteed each harvest.
Common mistakes
Assuming each flower harvest returns seeds: retain backups and gather more flowers when the stock is low.
Planting flowers but leaving the plot dry: water it with fresh water.
Using the last seed for paint: reserve a seed before spending the flower supply.
When to stop or switch
Pause island flower gathering once you have enough seeds and flowers for your planned plots; resume when a color or hive layout needs replenishment.
