WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Bastion > Gem Mine.

The Gem Mine is a Bastion upgrade that generates Gems over time, including while you are not playing. It is a long-term resource investment rather than an active battle farm. Review the unlock cost and your account’s priorities, then claim available Gems and decide how to use them for account needs such as Shards or other available purchases.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Have access to the Bastion and its Gem Mine interface.
  • Have the Gems required by the current unlock or upgrade screen if you choose to invest.
  • Know which account purchase or resource goal you are saving Gems toward.
  1. Open the Gem Mine in the Bastion and inspect its current unlock or upgrade requirements.
  2. Compare the displayed cost with your other near-term account priorities.
  3. Unlock or upgrade the mine only when you can afford the investment without compromising a more urgent need.
  4. Allow its passive production to accumulate while playing other activities or while away.
  5. Return to the Gem Mine and collect available Gems as the interface permits.
  6. Track your Gem balance against a planned purchase or resource goal.
  7. Use the collected Gems through the in-game option that best supports that goal.

Farming tips

  • The mine generates passively, so it can contribute while you focus Energy on Campaign, dungeons, or other content.
  • The initial investment is substantial; consider the long-term production against your immediate needs.

Repeat, collect and use

Passive and ongoing after unlocking; collect accumulated Gems when available. Production is limited by the game’s current mine rules and capacity shown in the interface.

Common mistakes

  • Spending the unlock cost without checking current account needs; compare it with other available uses first.
  • Forgetting to collect available production; revisit the mine periodically.
  • Spending Gems without a goal; decide what account need the balance should support.

When to stop or switch

Keep the mine as a passive source after unlocking; stop further investment when the displayed upgrade cost is less valuable than another account priority.
