WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Ace’s materials shop in Ward 13. After converting Iron, take the matching tier to Rigs’ upgrade bench.
Iron comes in several grades, and Rigs’ upgrade costs rise with weapon level. Ace in Ward 13 can convert lower-tier Iron into higher-tier Iron. Use this as a processing step when your inventory has surplus material of the wrong grade; it does not replace collecting Iron or paying Scrap for upgrades.
Enough Scrap for the conversion and intended weapon upgrade; check the displayed costs before confirming.
A weapon whose next upgrade requires the Iron tier you plan to produce.
Check Rigs’ upgrade menu to see which Iron grade your weapon currently needs.
Review your inventory and choose a lower Iron tier with surplus stock; keep enough for any upgrades that still use it.
Speak with Ace and open the Iron conversion option.
Select the source and destination tiers, then inspect the displayed material and Scrap costs.
Convert only the amount you can afford and need for the planned upgrade.
Return to Rigs, select the weapon, and confirm the upgrade uses the converted tier.
If you still lack materials, collect more Iron from world drops and repeat the check before converting again.
Farming tips
Compare the conversion cost with Ace’s available Iron stock and your Scrap before processing; buying a needed tier may be an alternative when stocked.
Upgrade costs change with gear level, so check Rigs’ current requirement before converting a large reserve.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat whenever you have surplus lower-tier Iron and need a higher grade. Conversion consumes materials and Scrap; gather more Iron from campaign or Adventure drops to replenish your reserve.
Common mistakes
Converting all of a lower tier can leave you short for an earlier upgrade; preserve a reserve based on Rigs’ displayed costs.
Choosing a destination tier without checking the weapon’s next cost can waste Scrap; inspect Rigs’ menu first.
Expecting conversion to provide free upgrades overlooks the Scrap and Iron still required at Rigs; budget for both steps.
When to stop or switch
Stop converting when you have enough of the required Iron tier for the upgrade you intend to make, or switch to world drops or Ace’s stock if conversion costs more than your current Scrap allows.
