WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Commando runs through the standard stage rotation; use the challenge log to select the exact alternate-skill objective.
Commando is available at the start, making his challenge set a straightforward way to learn how survivor unlocks work. Each challenge opens a particular skill option; it is a permanent loadout choice, not an item or a direct increase to the current run’s power. The conditions differ, so do not assume that one run can satisfy all of them. Read each entry in the challenge log, build around the stated task, and confirm the unlock before choosing the next one. Some conditions reward an ordinary run objective, while others call for a specific combat result or stage milestone.
A challenge entry for a Commando skill that has not yet been completed.
A run plan and item choices that support the condition shown in that entry.
Open the challenge log and locate the Commando-specific entries tied to alternate skills.
Choose one uncompleted condition and read it fully, including any stage, enemy, timing, or item restrictions.
Start a run as Commando and keep the chosen condition as the primary objective.
Loot and clear teleporter events while preserving any required restriction; avoid optional detours that could jeopardize it.
When the condition appears complete, check the challenge record rather than relying on a visual cue during combat.
Return to the survivor loadout and verify that the newly unlocked skill is available; repeat for another challenge.
Farming tips
Pursue one precise challenge at a time so a failed condition does not invalidate a run built for another task.
The logbook names the condition; use that wording over a remembered route when the game’s challenge entries differ by version.
Repeat, collect and use
Each skill challenge is a one-time permanent unlock. Continue with other uncompleted Commando entries; there is no repeated reward for clearing the same challenge again.
Common mistakes
Expecting one Commando challenge to unlock every alternate skill; each named entry has its own condition.
Ignoring a restriction embedded in the objective; reread it before taking a pickup or entering a new stage.
Assuming completion from an in-run event; confirm the unlock in the challenge record and loadout.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the targeted Commando skill appears in the loadout; switch to another uncompleted skill condition or another survivor’s unlock goal.
