Convert an unwanted Lunar item at Cleansing Pool

Exchange a Lunar item with a Cleansing Pool for a Pearl-family item when the trade improves the run.

PC / Global retail build, with expansion content treated as optional.
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

A Cleansing Pool in an eligible environment layout; exact placement and availability vary between stages.

A Cleansing Pool consumes one Lunar item you are carrying and gives a Pearl, with a rare chance for an Irradiant Pearl. The exchange is a trade, not a free pickup, and the pool’s appearance depends on the environment and procedural layout. The consumed Lunar item is selected randomly from the held Lunar items, so carrying a build-critical Lunar item alongside a disposable one can make the result costly. Decide before interacting whether losing any one of your Lunar items is acceptable. If the answer is no, leave the pool untouched and keep the item benefits you already have.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Find a Cleansing Pool in an environment where it can appear.
  • Carry at least one Lunar item.
  • Be willing to lose a random held Lunar item in exchange for a Pearl or possible Irradiant Pearl.
  1. Explore the generated environment and identify a Cleansing Pool before leaving the stage.
  2. Review every Lunar item currently held, including any item whose drawback or benefit is supporting your build.
  3. Estimate whether a Pearl is more useful to the run than the worst-case Lunar item you could lose.
  4. If the exchange remains worthwhile even with a random selection, interact with the pool once.
  5. Collect the resulting Pearl-family item and verify the Lunar item consumed from your inventory.
  6. Continue the run with the new item and adjust your build expectations if the trade removed a key effect.

Farming tips

  • Avoid the trade when you carry multiple Lunar items and cannot accept a random loss.
  • Do not expect an Irradiant Pearl; it is a rare result, while a Pearl is the ordinary outcome.

Repeat, collect and use

The exchange is available again only if another pool appears and you still have a Lunar item to sacrifice. Each interaction consumes an item; it is not a renewable free Pearl farm.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming the pool lets you choose which Lunar item is consumed; the selection is random among held items.
  • Treating Irradiant Pearl as guaranteed; plan around receiving a Pearl.
  • Interacting before checking the inventory; inspect the possible cost first.

When to stop or switch

Stop after the trade if the desired exchange is complete or if another interaction would sacrifice an item you still need; continue to the next stage.
