Farming steps
- Search accessible valley and Forest areas for wild plants that can yield crop seeds.
- Harvest unfamiliar plants and check the seed pouch for new entries.
- Keep an unfamiliar seed and identify its crop and season in the crop list.
- Plant the seed when its season is active and a farmable tile is ready.
- Harvest a first crop sample and set it aside for a contribution, collection, or future use.
- After the crop is discovered and the Plant Nursery is unlocked, check Igrork’s seasonal stock.
- Buy additional seeds of discovered crops when you want a larger patch or another planting.
- Do not treat the nursery as a source for every unknown crop; discovery comes first.
- Track which crops you have registered so exploration time goes toward missing varieties.
Repeat, collect and use
Discovering each crop seed is a one-time collection milestone. Planting and buying seeds can repeat when the crop is in season and nursery stock is available.
Common mistakes
- Assuming seed purchases are available before discovery: find the wild seed first.
- Using an unfamiliar seed before preparing a field: keep it until the right season and tile are available.
- Planting every seed without a plan: retain a sample for future planting or village needs.
When to stop or switch
Stop broad seed searching when you have the varieties needed for current planting and progression; resume when a new crop goal or season makes another discovery useful.
