WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Exalted Quarry south of Heathervein. Work the Colossus deposits, then use the central Exalted Colossus and essence processor.
The Exalted Quarry is a resource loop for players who want to turn local deposits into Rune Essence and carry that stock into Runecrafting. Mining and Crafting levels affect which deposit sizes you can work. Treat the deposit tier as a progression choice: use the largest one you can access reliably, then process the material before leaving the quarry.
65 Mining and 51 Crafting to start the mining activity.
Access to Havenhythe Part II.
Inventory space for collected essence materials.
Partial completion of Heralds of Crimson to enter the quarry; talk to Azur on its lowest level before mining.
Travel to the Exalted Quarry south of Heathervein.
Talk to Azur on the lowest level of the quarry before starting to mine.
Check which deposit sizes your Mining and Crafting levels permit.
Mine an available Essence deposit and collect its Lump, Chunk or Slab output.
Continue across accessible deposits until you have a useful batch.
Take the gathered material to the central Exalted Colossus.
Use the essence processor to turn the material into Rune Essence.
Carry the finished essence to a matching altar and complete your usual Runecrafting method.
Farming tips
Higher Mining and Crafting thresholds open larger deposits; use an accessible tier instead of waiting on a level you do not have.
Process your haul before leaving so you can judge the actual Rune Essence stock you are taking to an altar.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the mining and processing loop whenever you need more Rune Essence or want more activity experience.
Common mistakes
Trying deposits above your level: choose the largest tier you can currently mine.
Leaving with unprocessed material: finish at the processor before assessing your supply.
Mining without a Runecrafting goal: set a stock target first so the loop has a clear endpoint.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough Rune Essence for the runes or Runecrafting session you planned, or switch to a supported altar method if you already have a stockpile.
