- 6 Aluminum Scrap and 5 Silica per batch
Farming steps
- Unlock the recipe and construct a Foundry with input and output access.
- Feed Aluminum Scrap to one input and Silica to the other.
- Connect ingot output to the aluminum parts that need it.
- Maintain the upstream scrap line and a separate Silica supply.
- Track ingot consumers so the output is allocated to priority production.
- Inspect ingredient buffers if the Foundry output slows or stops.
- At 100% clock, the recipe uses 90 Aluminum Scrap/min and 75 Silica/min.
- It outputs 60 Aluminum Ingots/min at 100% clock.
- The alternate Pure Aluminum Ingot is an optional recipe unlock; it is not the default recipe.
Repeat, collect and use
Keep scrap and Silica delivered together, then send ingots to the current downstream priority.
Common mistakes
- Searching for Aluminum Ingots as a world resource rather than smelting Aluminum Scrap.
- Supplying scrap without Silica, or Silica without scrap, and expecting the Foundry to continue.
When to stop or switch
Pause the Foundry when ingot stock meets the target or downstream consumers cannot accept more output.
