Aluminum Ingots are made in a Foundry by smelting Aluminum Scrap with Silica. They are an intermediate used for Ficsite Ingots, Empty Fluid Tanks, Aluminum Casings, and Alclad Aluminum Sheets. The critical bottleneck is supplying both scrap and silica; a shortage of either stops ingot production. The listed recipe returns four ingots per batch. Rates assume the Foundry runs at 100% clock.

How to craft

Unlock and build a Foundry with the Aluminum Ingot recipe. Supply Aluminum Scrap and Silica. Aluminum Ingots are manufactured, not gathered directly from a resource node; scrap itself comes from its refining chain.

Before you craft

Foundry and Aluminum Ingot recipe unlocked
6 Aluminum Scrap and 5 Silica per batch

Unlock the recipe and construct a Foundry with input and output access.
Feed Aluminum Scrap to one input and Silica to the other.
Connect ingot output to the aluminum parts that need it.
Maintain the upstream scrap line and a separate Silica supply.
Track ingot consumers so the output is allocated to priority production.
Inspect ingredient buffers if the Foundry output slows or stops.

Crafting tips

At 100% clock, the recipe uses 90 Aluminum Scrap/min and 75 Silica/min.
It outputs 60 Aluminum Ingots/min at 100% clock.
The alternate Pure Aluminum Ingot is an optional recipe unlock; it is not the default recipe.

Repeat, collect and use

Keep scrap and Silica delivered together, then send ingots to the current downstream priority.

Common mistakes

Searching for Aluminum Ingots as a world resource rather than smelting Aluminum Scrap.
Supplying scrap without Silica, or Silica without scrap, and expecting the Foundry to continue.
