Node purity affects Miner output, so checking it before a build helps match an extraction site to the factory’s actual demand. The right site is one whose expected throughput and transport capacity work together.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Evaluate any identified resource node in person. The interactive map can help compare locations, but verify game version and map state, then confirm the candidate’s label in your world.
Inspect Impure, Normal, or Pure quality at the node, then choose a Miner and belt plan that fits the intended line. Purity is one factor in throughput; miner tier and clock setting also matter.
Filter a resource, then select a marker or location below for its purity, elevation and coordinates. The map is hosted here.

How to farm
Before you go
A resource node identified by scanning or exploration.
A Miner tier appropriate to current progression.
The belt and power plan needed for the expected output.
Locate a node with the Resource Scanner or by exploration.
Read its purity label directly before placing the Miner.
Estimate whether the node’s quality and available Miner tier fit the line you want to supply.
Check the belt’s capacity against the Miner output plan, including any clock changes.
Choose a site with enough room for the Miner, belts, and downstream processing.
Build the Miner and route its output, then observe whether the line backs up or starves.
Adjust the belt, clock, or downstream capacity based on the actual bottleneck.
Farming tips
Select the node for required throughput and route practicality, not just shortest walking distance.
Leave room for a belt upgrade or another parallel line if future demand may grow.
Repeat, collect and use
Purity inspection is a one-time site assessment unless you compare new locations later. Automated extraction continues while powered and able to unload; revisit the plan when upgrading miners, belts, or factory demand.
Common mistakes
Treating purity as the only output factor ignores Miner tier and clock; account for all three.
Overclocking beyond belt throughput wastes potential output; upgrade or split the route before raising output.
Relying only on a map marker can misrepresent the current game state; verify the node and route in your save.
When to stop or switch
Stop comparing sites once one node can support the intended line with practical belt and power connections. Reassess only if demand outgrows the available throughput or a better location becomes relevant.
