Before you go
- Gas Filter recipe and a Manufacturer.
- 2 Fabric, 4 Coal, and 2 Iron Plates per batch.
Farming steps
- Make or obtain Fabric and gather a supply of Coal and Iron Plates.
- Set up a Manufacturer and choose the Gas Filter recipe.
- Feed 2 Fabric, 4 Coal, and 2 Iron Plates into the machine for each batch.
- Run the eight-second cycle to produce one Gas Filter.
- Carry Filters in inventory with a Gas Mask before entering toxic gas areas.
- At 100% clock, the Manufacturer consumes 15 Fabric, 30 Coal, and 15 Iron Plates per minute for 7.5 Filters per minute.
- Gas Filters are consumed during mask use, so prepare a reserve for the planned trip.
Repeat, collect and use
Make enough Filters for the next excursion and replenish whichever input limits production first.
Common mistakes
- Assuming the Gas Mask provides filtration without Gas Filters in inventory.
- Searching for Gas Filters on the map instead of manufacturing them.
- Forgetting that Fabric is a separate crafted input.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have the Filter reserve you want or Fabric, Coal, or Iron Plates become limiting.
