Produce them in a Manufacturer after the Gas Filter recipe is available. Make or obtain Fabric separately, and supply Coal and Iron Plates.
Gas Filters are manufactured in a Manufacturer from Fabric, Coal, and Iron Plates. Each eight-second cycle consumes 2 Fabric, 4 Coal, and 2 Iron Plates to make one Filter. At 100% clock, that is 7.5 Filters per minute, using 15 Fabric, 30 Coal, and 15 Iron Plates per minute. Gas Filters are consumed from inventory while a Gas Mask is in use, so make a reserve sized for the planned exposure. Fabric is also a crafted input; its default recipe uses Mycelia and Biomass. The recipe for Gas Filters has no listed coproduct, and Filters are not resource-node items.
