Hog Remains acquisition
Explore until you encounter a Hog, defeat it, and collect its remains. With Hog Protein unlocked, take the remains to a powered Constructor for Alien Protein.
Before you go
- A Hog creature to defeat.
- Inventory space for its remains.
- For Alien Protein: Hog Protein recipe unlocked and a Constructor.
Farming steps
- Prepare for combat and explore until you identify a Hog.
- Defeat the Hog and approach the loot it drops.
- Collect the Hog Remains into your inventory.
- Carry them to the MAM if you need them for research.
- To make Alien Protein, unlock Hog Protein and deliver the remains to a powered Constructor.
- Select the Hog Protein recipe and collect the Alien Protein output.
- Keep any remaining unprocessed remains for research or future production.
- Collect the remains from a defeated Hog; they are not mined from the ground.
- Use your exploration knowledge to search broadly; no specific route is needed to recognize the matching creature.
Repeat, collect and use
Find and defeat another Hog whenever you need more remains, then collect its loot.
Common mistakes
- Searching for a Hog Remains node instead of hunting the creature.
- Expecting a Constructor to make remains from other ingredients instead of processing remains into Alien Protein.
When to stop or switch
Stop gathering when your research and planned Alien Protein production have enough remains.
