Explore until you encounter a Hog, defeat it, and collect its remains. With Hog Protein unlocked, take the remains to a powered Constructor for Alien Protein.

Hog Remains are loot from defeated Hog creatures. Collect them for MAM research or use the Hog Protein recipe in a Constructor to make Alien Protein. This is exploration loot rather than a mineral deposit or a factory output. To gather more, find and defeat another Hog, then collect its remains. Save enough for research before processing any into Alien Protein.

How to farm

Before you go

A Hog creature to defeat.
Inventory space for its remains.
For Alien Protein: Hog Protein recipe unlocked and a Constructor.

Prepare for combat and explore until you identify a Hog.
Defeat the Hog and approach the loot it drops.
Collect the Hog Remains into your inventory.
Carry them to the MAM if you need them for research.
To make Alien Protein, unlock Hog Protein and deliver the remains to a powered Constructor.
Select the Hog Protein recipe and collect the Alien Protein output.
Keep any remaining unprocessed remains for research or future production.

Farming tips

Collect the remains from a defeated Hog; they are not mined from the ground.
Use your exploration knowledge to search broadly; no specific route is needed to recognize the matching creature.

Repeat, collect and use

Find and defeat another Hog whenever you need more remains, then collect its loot.
