Dissolved Silica acquisition

Run Alternate: Quartz Purification in a Refinery. Pipe the Dissolved Silica to a consumer such as a Blender using the unlocked Alternate: Distilled Silica recipe; route Quartz Crystals separately.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Unlock Alternate: Quartz Purification; it is not the default Quartz recipe.
  2. Set a Refinery to that recipe and connect Raw Quartz and Nitric Acid.
  3. At 100% clock, supply 120 Raw Quartz and 10 m³ Nitric Acid per minute.
  4. Route both outputs: 75 Quartz Crystals and 60 m³ Dissolved Silica per minute.
  5. Send the liquid to a Blender only if Alternate: Distilled Silica is unlocked and desired.
  6. Check both output paths if the Refinery backs up or stops.

Repeat, collect and use

Keep both Refinery outputs clear and balance production against demand for Quartz Crystals and Dissolved Silica.

Common mistakes

  • Do not search for a Dissolved Silica node; it is made as a coproduct by the alternate recipe.
  • Do not treat Quartz Purification as the default recipe; it requires its unlock.

When to stop or switch

Stop this line when Quartz Crystal demand is met and Dissolved Silica has a consumer or clear outlet.
