WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm A freshwater lake or river with room to cast and manage your line.
Fishing requires a working set of rod, reel, line, bait, hook, and floater. Cast, watch the floater, strike when it submerges, and manage line tension while reeling. Freshwater and saltwater have different fish pools, so choose the water type for the fishing trip you intend to make.
Before you go Rod and reel, assembled with line. Bait, hook, and floater. Inventory space for landed fish. Safe access to the water's edge. Equip the complete fishing rig and confirm that rod, reel, line, bait, hook, and floater are present. Stand at the freshwater edge with enough clear space to cast. Hold left-click to cast; a longer hold sends the line farther. Watch the floater instead of moving away from the rod. When it goes under, left-click to strike. After hooking a fish, use the reel controls to bring it in while watching line tension. Scroll down to reel and scroll up to release tension; keep the indicator out of the red zone to avoid snapping the line. Land the fish, collect it, and use or store it as food before preparing the rig for another cast. Farming tips Use small, controlled reel adjustments when tension rises; forcing the line can end the catch. A freshwater spot yields freshwater species, so do not expect the saltwater fish list at an inland lake. Repeat, collect and use Repeat while the rig remains usable and you have bait and space. Fish and outcomes vary; there is no guaranteed catch per cast.
Common mistakes Casting without checking the full rig leaves a required component missing; assemble all six parts before fishing. Striking before the floater submerges can miss the bite; watch for the float to go under. Reeling continuously into red tension can snap the line; release tension with the upward scroll control. When to stop or switch Stop when bait or rig parts run out, inventory is full, or line tension cannot be managed safely; restock or move to a safer bank before continuing.
