Where to farm

Ember Valley, outside the Conservatory, including lava areas and glowing resource nodes.

Once Ember Valley is accessible, explore it with the Resource Harvester and a clear materials goal. The region is a source of resources including Lava Dust near lava and Radiant Ore in glowing nodes; the official new player guidance also identifies Ember Valley as a place to pursue Radiant Ore and an Extra Tanks module. Treat the trip as collection and exploration, then bring science materials back to the Refinery.

How to farm

Before you go

Access to the Ember Valley route.
A crafted, installed Resource Harvester for science nodes.
Vacpack space for the materials you intend to collect.

Check the Fabricator for the resource or module goal you want to pursue.
Travel through the opened route into Ember Valley.
Look for visible glowing nodes when Radiant Ore is needed.
Search near lava for visible Lava Dust nodes when that material is needed.
Use the Resource Harvester to collect science materials from nodes.
Inspect the area for the Extra Tanks module mentioned in the upgrade guidance if that is your goal.
Return to the Conservatory and deposit collected crafting materials in the Refinery.

Farming tips

Use the recipe to decide which resources to prioritize; a broad sweep can fill Vacpack space with unrelated pickups.
The Extra Tanks module is a separate exploration find, so do not assume resource collection alone completes that upgrade goal.

Repeat, collect and use

Resource-node collection can be repeated when more inputs are needed. Finding a module is a one-time pickup, not a renewable farm.

Common mistakes

Entering without the Resource Harvester when planning to gather science-node materials; install it first.
Treating every visible pickup as a recipe input; check the Fabricator and prioritize the target.
Assuming a module is guaranteed at a particular point on every visit; search the region and verify the item in game.
