WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Refinery terminal at the Conservatory, below the Plort Market area; the Fabricator is nearby downstairs.
Use the Refinery as the crafting supply point for gadgets and upgrades. It does not sell plorts or generate materials: you must collect the listed plorts and world resources, deposit them, and then craft the selected item at the Fabricator. Reading the recipe first keeps market sales and exploration trips focused on what you actually need.
Access to the Conservatory Refinery and Fabricator.
A specific gadget or upgrade recipe to work toward.
Plorts and resource materials named by that recipe.
Open the Fabricator and select the intended gadget or upgrade recipe.
Note its required plort types and science resources.
Collect plorts from fed slimes and harvest any missing materials with the Resource Harvester.
Use the Refinery terminal to deposit each required input.
Check the recipe again to see whether every requirement is available.
Craft the item at the Fabricator once its displayed requirements are met.
Begin another collection cycle only for inputs still needed by a different recipe.
Farming tips
Deposit only materials intended for crafting; Refinery inputs are not market stock.
Read the recipe before a field trip so you can target its named materials.
Repeat, collect and use
Depositing and crafting are repeatable for recipes you can supply. Each crafted item consumes its listed inputs; deposits themselves do not produce more materials.
Common mistakes
Expecting the Refinery to create resources; gather the inputs in the world or through ranching.
Selling a plort needed for a planned gadget; reserve recipe quantities first.
Depositing a mixed haul without knowing its use; track the current recipe and its remaining inputs.
When to stop or switch
Stop depositing for a recipe when its requirements are met, craft it, and switch to the next goal rather than gathering unneeded stock.
