The Indigo Quarry contains Rock and Crystal Slimes as well as legal Drill sites for Indigonium. Plan whether the outing is for ranch stock, plorts or science materials, since each goal uses inventory space differently. Indigonium comes from a Drill, while slimes and loose food are collected directly; bringing the right tools prevents a long trip from missing its main purpose.
Before you go A Slime Key or an opened route into Indigo Quarry. A Drill if the target is Indigonium or other Drill returns. VacPack room for the planned combination of slimes, plorts and loose pickups. At the Lab, check whether your current recipe calls for Quarry materials and decide how much inventory to reserve. Travel through the gate into Indigo Quarry with a Drill if you need science returns. Explore the accessible cave and mineral areas, collecting Rock or Crystal Slimes only if you have a ranching goal. At a marked extractor site, place the Drill and let its cycle finish. Return to the site and collect the output, separating Indigonium for the planned recipe. Gather nearby loose food or plorts only if you still have room for your primary target. Bring the collected material back to the Ranch and craft the recipe or add the slimes to a prepared corral. Farming tips Indigonium is a Drill return; the visible rock formations are not a VacPack source for it. Choose between carrying slimes and carrying science loot before the trip so one goal does not crowd out the other. Repeat, collect and use Repeatable with new Drill placements and Quarry visits; each extractor cycle is finite, and collected wild slimes must be found again on later visits.
Common mistakes Traveling without a Drill when Indigonium is the goal: bring the matching extractor. Expecting Crystal or Rock Slimes to provide Indigonium: keep slime and extractor collection as separate activities. Taking every incidental pickup: reserve VacPack room for the recipe material or slime you came to collect. When to stop or switch Stop the Quarry run once the recipe reserve or planned ranch stock is secured; switch regions for materials not produced by a Quarry Drill.
