WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Ponds and springs in the Far, Far Range; use the VacPack water tank near a Tarr outbreak.
Water collected from ponds or springs can be stored in the VacPack after unlocking the Water Tank upgrade. Carry it when slime groups are close together, since Tarr can spread through nearby slimes and threaten a whole area. Water is a control tool for the outbreak: remove the Tarr threat before trying to collect nearby plorts or resume feeding and ranching.
Before you go The Water Tank VacPack upgrade. An available VacPack slot for water. Access to a pond or spring to refill. Locate a pond or spring and vacuum water into the VacPack tank. Keep the water supply available while exploring or moving among slime groups. When Tarr appear, aim the water stream at them to destroy them before they reach more slimes. Check the surrounding area for additional Tarr and clear those threats as well. Avoid vacuuming Tarr plorts into a ranch corral; clear the area before collecting ordinary plorts. Refill the tank at the next water source before continuing to another risky area. Farming tips Refill before a long trip through areas with dense slime groups rather than waiting until an outbreak begins. Leave nonessential inventory space open if you plan to collect water and nearby plorts during the same outing. Repeat, collect and use Repeatable whenever you refill at a water source; each tankful is consumed when used, so refill between outbreaks.
Common mistakes Leaving without the Water Tank upgrade: collect water only after unlocking the VacPack capacity for it. Trying to collect plorts while Tarr remain nearby: clear the threat first so it cannot spread. Assuming one tankful covers every encounter: refill at ponds or springs as needed. When to stop or switch Stop the collection or ranching activity until nearby Tarr are gone; resume once the area is clear and refill before moving on.
