Bug Parts

Target a specific insect drop before hunting so the trip produces the part required by your current recipe.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Oak Forest ant areas for Carpenter Ant Workers; Swamp at night for Mosquitoes.

Bug Parts are not a universal drop. Pick the exact item first, then use the listed creature and habitat: Carpenter Ant Workers in the Oak Forest for ant parts, or Mosquitoes in the Swamp for Blood Sacs. Bring only the gear and inventory space needed for the selected hunt.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Weapon and armor appropriate for the selected creature.
  • Inventory space for the target part and useful incidental drops.
  • A clear target item and its recipe station, checked before departure.
  1. Open the recipe you are trying to complete and write down the exact Bug Part it requires.
  2. For Ant Heads or Bull Ant Mandibles, travel to the Oak Forest and look for Carpenter Ant Workers near ant activity.
  3. Defeat the target ants and loot the named drops before moving on.
  4. For Blood Sacs instead, plan a Swamp trip after dark and search for Mosquitoes in that region.
  5. Engage one target at a time where possible, then check its loot before spending time on unrelated enemies.
  6. Return to base when you have the needed parts or your pack is filling.
  7. Use the correct station listed for the recipe that consumes the part.

Farming tips

  • The creature drop table is specific by species; verify the item-creature pairing before leaving.
  • Keep Swamp night hunts separate from safer Oak Forest gathering if you only need ant parts.

Repeat, collect and use

Creature hunting can be repeated when additional parts are needed, but no guaranteed drop quantity is assumed. Choose the habitat and species again based on the remaining recipe requirement.

Common mistakes

  • Hunting any insect for any part: select the exact species named for the wanted drop.
  • Going to the Swamp in daylight for the stated Mosquito route: schedule that hunt at night.
  • Continuing after the recipe amount is met: return and use the item rather than accumulating unrelated drops.

When to stop or switch

Stop at the required amount for the next recipe, or switch target species if the remaining ingredient belongs to a different creature.
