WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Mainland regions: Oak Forest, Beach/Ruins, Swamp, Greylands and Amber Valleys.
Mainland biomes hold distinct materials and creatures, but their risks and progression needs differ. Use Oak Forest for common plant and tree resources, Beach or Ruins for Green Beetle Chitin, Swamp for night Mosquito hunts, Greylands for Iron Shards, and Amber Valleys for Vipers. Make these separate legs based on what your next recipe needs.
Gathering tools appropriate to the chosen resource.
Combat gear for hostile creature routes and later regions.
Inventory room for the chosen materials.
Check the next recipe and pick one target before leaving home.
For Wood, Resin, Fiber or Sawyer Beetle Chitin, start in Oak Forest and collect only the relevant materials.
Choose Beach or Ruins when Green Beetle Chitin is the goal.
Schedule a Swamp visit after dark only when you need Mosquito Blood Sacs.
Travel north into Greylands with a Flint Pickaxe when Iron Shards are needed from Scrap Metal.
Use Amber Valleys for Viper drops when your gear supports that hunt.
Return to base after the target is met, store raw materials by type, and process them before planning another regional leg.
Farming tips
Keep dangerous or time dependent targets on their own trip so you can prepare specifically.
Bring the required tool for the material; a region visit without the correct tool can waste the travel.
Repeat, collect and use
Regional gathering can be repeated as needed, but each trip should target the available resource and respect its tool and combat requirements. No route guarantees a fixed yield.
Common mistakes
Treating every region as equally safe: prepare for each destination’s hazards.
Combining Swamp night hunting and distant resource goals without a clear plan: split the trips.
Traveling without the required pickaxe or combat equipment: check prerequisites before departure.
When to stop or switch
Return when the target stack is sufficient, inventory space is tight, or conditions no longer suit the selected route; switch to a better prepared regional trip.
