Where to farm
Void Hunter Fortress, Blacksmith; gather required minerals during runs and return to craft or upgrade.
The Blacksmith in Void Hunter Fortress turns collected materials into weapon crafts or upgrades. The efficient loop begins at the recipe screen: read the exact resources needed, farm only the shortfall, return after a run, and spend materials on the chosen weapon. Void Fields maps have fixed mineral sets, so use the pool that fits the recipe; Cathedral and Titan Hunt vary their minerals. Recipes and costs should be read in the current game, particularly as the PC build continues to receive updates. This is an ongoing progression activity, not a one-time unlock.
Unlock access to the Blacksmith and relevant weapon recipes.
Have or be able to farm the recipe’s required materials.
Choose a specific weapon goal before collecting resources.
Open the Blacksmith and select the weapon or upgrade you intend to pursue.
Record every listed material and quantity still missing.
Choose a Void Fields map whose fixed mineral set includes the largest shortage.
Complete a manageable run, mining accessible deposits along the route.
Return to the fortress and check your updated material stock.
If a named boss reward or other resource remains missing, plan that specific activity separately.
When requirements are met, craft or upgrade the selected weapon at the Blacksmith.
Review the next recipe requirement before starting another material run.
Farming tips
Let the in-game recipe define your farm; do not use a general material target when the actual weapon needs a different resource.
Prioritize consistent clears. Higher difficulty can improve mineral rarity but may reduce the value of a run if you fail.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the check, farm, return, and craft loop for each weapon goal. Resources are consumed when crafting or upgrading, so recheck the recipe after each purchase.
Common mistakes
Mining without a selected recipe: identify the next weapon goal first to avoid collecting irrelevant stock.
Assuming all modes have predictable mineral pools: use Void Fields for map-specific sets and account for randomization elsewhere.
Forgetting that crafting spends materials: verify the remaining stock after each upgrade before planning the next one.
When to stop or switch
Stop farming a material once the selected recipe is affordable and craft the weapon; then reassess the next upgrade rather than continuing for surplus.
