A sprinkler is useful when Farming progression has unlocked its recipe and you can provide the required materials. Make sure its displayed coverage reaches the beds you intend to automate, then check the field after placement. Sprinklers do not remove the need to plan crops, harvest, or water uncovered tiles. Rain Cloud and the watering can remain options for plots outside a device’s coverage.
Before you go Farming progression that unlocks the sprinkler recipe. Materials shown in the current sprinkler crafting recipe. Crop plots positioned within the device’s displayed coverage. Open the farming crafting interface and confirm the sprinkler recipe is unlocked. Read the current recipe and gather its listed materials. Craft the sprinkler using the recipe interface. Place it among crop tiles so the displayed watering area covers the intended beds. Plant crops in the covered area, checking each seed’s season before planting. Check the field after placement to confirm which tiles were watered. Water uncovered crops with the watering can or use Rain Cloud if that spell is unlocked. Farming tips Lay out beds around the device’s shown coverage instead of assuming every adjacent tile will be watered. Use the crafting interface as the authority for the recipe materials; progression and recipes can change with unlocks. Repeat, collect and use Craft and place additional sprinklers as your Farming progression and materials allow; each automates only its covered area.
Common mistakes Trying to craft before unlocking the recipe wastes time gathering; check progression first. Assuming the sprinkler covers the whole field leaves edge crops dry; inspect its displayed area and water uncovered beds. Planting a crop outside its season can still fail even in an automated field; check the seed’s allowed season. When to stop or switch Stop adding sprinklers when all intended plots are covered or when the remaining uncovered crops are manageable with manual watering or Rain Cloud.
