WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Explored strata and tunnels where a resource vein is not yet visible.
Use the Omniseeker during cave exploration to find an ore vein beyond direct sight. The tool is a locator, not an excavation method: once it leads you to a deposit, inspect the site and decide whether to hand-mine or build a supplied remote drill operation.
A reachable route through the stratum you want to survey.
Pickaxe or a plan for drill, smelter, fuel, and logistics if the find is remote.
Equip or activate the Omniseeker after it is unlocked.
Use it while exploring the stratum in which you need more ore.
Follow its indicated direction through accessible cave passages; clear or open a route where rock blocks progress.
Watch for the vein to come into view and confirm its resource type in person.
Decide whether the deposit is close enough for a hand-mining trip or needs an automated setup.
For a remote site, gather drill and smelter components, fuel, and a return-logistics plan before deployment.
Mark the site for later visits and move on if it is not the resource you need.
Farming tips
The tool locates veins, but does not mine, reveal a guaranteed safe route, or establish an exact scan distance.
Pair discovery with the resource index when you need to plan a known original-map site.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat whenever you need another vein or are opening a new area. Scanning does not replenish finite deposits; it finds locations to develop.
Common mistakes
Expecting the Omniseeker to extract ore: bring a pickaxe or mining equipment.
Following the indication without checking the destination: confirm the resource type before building logistics.
Treating one discovered vein as an unlimited supply: prepare another site when it is exhausted.
When to stop or switch
Stop the search once you have found a suitable vein and recorded its location, or when the stratum does not offer a useful reachable deposit for your current need.
