Shiverthorn Extract is a required Water Wheel input and supports expansion of factory power generation.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A Shiverthorn crop and Thresher line feeding an Assembler near the power network.
Make Shiverthorn Extract available before assembling Water Wheels at Victor Tier 2. Thresh Shiverthorn Buds, keep a dedicated reserve, and combine the extract with the listed frame and component inputs in an Assembler. The wheel then supplies kinetic energy that can be converted through Crank Generators.
Thresher and Shiverthorn Buds for extract production.
Assembler, 8 Iron Frames, 32 Mechanical Components, and 2 Shiverthorn Extract per Water Wheel.
Grow or collect Shiverthorn and obtain Shiverthorn Buds for processing.
Place a Thresher and feed it the buds; route its Shiverthorn Extract output into a dedicated buffer.
Reserve two Extract for each planned Water Wheel instead of sending all output to other consumers.
Supply an Assembler with the recipe inputs: 8 Iron Frames, 32 Mechanical Components, and 2 Extract.
Check the machine’s current recipe panel and let it craft the Water Wheel.
Move the finished wheel to the intended power site and connect it to Crank Generators.
Connect the generators to the factory network and verify that the consumers receive power.
Farming tips
The two-unit extract requirement is per wheel; count planned wheels before routing surplus elsewhere.
Keep the extract buffer near the Assembler to make shortages easy to spot.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the crop, threshing, and assembly loop for additional wheels while seeds and materials are supplied. Each wheel is a crafted power unit, not a renewable drop.
Common mistakes
Using Extract before meeting the wheel recipe: reserve the two units per planned wheel.
Feeding buds directly to the Assembler: thresh them first to make Extract.
Building a wheel without a generator connection: connect Crank Generators and verify the network.
When to stop or switch
Stop production when the number of wheels meets your current power demand and the factory network remains supplied; resume if new loads exceed capacity.
