WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Cave 2, Hanging Cave, near the hanging bodies and early supply area.
Collect both navigation tools in the early section of Cave 2 before continuing deeper. This is a fixed progression pickup, not a recurring material farm. After the collection, use the map to recognize explored ground and the compass to keep your bearings on the surface and between cave entrances.
Before you go A rope descent into Cave 2. A light source for the cave passage. A weapon and healing in case of encounters. Find the surface entrance to Cave 2 and descend into the early passage. Move through the first section toward the hanging bodies and nearby supply area. Search this early area for the Map and Compass rather than pushing on to the separate Modern Axe stash room first. Pick up both navigation items and confirm they are available in your inventory. Use the compass to orient yourself as you return through the cave to the entrance. On the surface, open the map and use it to understand where you have explored before planning another cave trip. Farming tips Remember that the Modern Axe is in another Cave 2 room, so collecting these tools does not complete the axe search. Take a moment to check your direction after surfacing; the tools are most useful when you use them during travel. Repeat, collect and use One-time pickup. The Map and Compass stay with the player; later visits are for navigation or other cave loot.
Common mistakes Searching the axe stash for navigation items: collect these in Cave 2’s early hanging-body area. Leaving one of the two tools behind: check for both before retreating. Entering with no light: prepare for the descent so you can find the early section and return. When to stop or switch Stop searching once you have both tools and a clear path back to the entrance.
