The Katana is a permanent melee weapon pickup that adds a useful combat option for later exploration.
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Katana
Cave 1, Dead Cave, embedded in a body along the cave route on the eastern side of the peninsula.
Before you go
- A light source for the cave.
- A weapon and healing supplies for encounters.
- Enough inventory readiness to carry the weapon and return safely.
Farming steps
- Locate Cave 1 on the eastern side of the peninsula and enter through its surface entrance.
- Proceed along the main route, watching for cave hazards and hostile encounters.
- Continue to the body where the Katana is found rather than diverting into unrelated branches.
- Pick up the Katana and confirm it is equipped or available in inventory.
- Turn back along the route you used to reach the pickup.
- Return to the surface and use the weapon on later expeditions as needed.
- Bring healing even if your goal is a single weapon pickup; the return trip is part of the expedition.
- Keep track of your inbound passage so the exit is easy to retrace after collecting the item.
Repeat, collect and use
One-time pickup. The Katana is retained once collected; revisit Cave 1 only for other cave objectives.
Common mistakes
- Continuing into unrelated branches after finding the weapon: retrace the known route to leave.
- Entering without a light: bring one before descending.
- Assuming the weapon removes cave risk: keep healing and a retreat plan for the return.
When to stop or switch
Stop exploring once the Katana is collected and you have returned to the surface.
