WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Aluminum Sands Derelict, Prime, at HUD coordinates 923:35:34. Coordinates use X:Y:Z; Y is height.
This is a finite scavenging run for Prime’s early game. Food and seeds may be found in Storage Crates, crashed ships, and bunkers, but individual containers have variable contents. The Aluminum Sands Derelict is a named place to search; treat it as an opportunity to check many crates, not a guaranteed food cache.
Leave enough inventory space for food, seeds, and other finds.
Bring a multitool if you want to deconstruct Storage Crates for their Iron.
Travel to 923:35:34 and identify the Aluminum Sands Derelict.
Enter the wreck and search its Storage Crates one by one.
Pick up any food or food seeds you find; check other containers rather than assuming a crate is empty of useful supplies based on earlier finds.
Collect other worthwhile materials only if you have capacity for them.
Return to base and store seeds separately from food you plan to eat.
Use the food to sustain exploration and reserve a food seed for a Food Grower when available.
Farming tips
Beans, Eggplant, Mushroom, Squash, and Space Food are named food types; a particular crate is not guaranteed to contain any one of them.
Storage Crates yield Iron when deconstructed, so decide whether the materials justify the inventory and tool use.
Repeat, collect and use
The wreck can be searched again for containers you missed, but its supplies are finite and crate contents vary. It is not a renewable food farm.
Common mistakes
Expecting a guaranteed seed or meal from a specific crate: search broadly and keep a backup food supply.
Filling your inventory with low-priority finds: reserve space before entering and return when it is full.
Eating every seed: retain one for a Food Grower so scavenging can transition into crop production.
When to stop or switch
Switch to a Food Grower once you have a food seed and the building is unlocked; return to scavenging only when you need supplies for another expedition.
