Boss and chest runs

Run Typhon for legendary loot

Typhon is a repeatable Act III boss run for high-level equipment and chest loot. The route suits characters seeking upgrades after reaching Mount Olympus, but rewards vary and the fight can be less convenient than later alternatives.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Typhon’s arena at the summit of Mount Olympus, at the end of Act III.

Complete the Olympus encounter, collect Typhon’s drops and reward chest, then reset the game session for another attempt. Choose a difficulty you can clear consistently. The run is most useful when the boss and chest still provide relevant loot; take care around his heavy attacks and do not count on a specific legendary item.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Complete the campaign route through the Orient to Mount Olympus.
  • Unlock the difficulty you intend to farm.
  • Bring a build able to handle Typhon’s large physical and elemental attacks.
  • Leave room for boss and chest loot.
  1. Travel to the Mount Olympus rebirth fountain and follow the summit route into the arena.
  2. Clear the approach enemies if they interfere with the boss fight.
  3. Engage Typhon while avoiding his large area attacks and reposition when your health or defenses are strained.
  4. Defeat the boss and collect the drops from the encounter.
  5. Open the reward chest and inspect equipment for useful upgrades or sale value.
  6. Use the nearby portal or return to town, then restart the session to reset the boss.

Farming tips

  • Farm the highest difficulty you can clear reliably without frequent deaths; consistency protects both time and progress.
  • Sort gear after each run so you can spot upgrades and preserve inventory space.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable by restarting the session after a clear. Typhon’s loot is randomized; no particular legendary or chest result is guaranteed.

Common mistakes

  • Farming a difficulty that causes repeated deaths: drop to a manageable tier until gear improves.
  • Leaving the reward chest unopened: include it in the route before resetting.
  • Expecting the same drops each run: judge the farm by useful upgrades over multiple clears.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have the upgrades you need, the clear becomes inefficient, or Hades offers a more suitable endgame route in Immortal Throne.
