Where to farm

Red Moon event vendor at the Base of Operations, October 15–November 3, 2026.

Earn Event Keys during Red Moon Unleashed and exchange them for Gear Caches at the Base of Operations. Drops are random, so treat this as a broad event pool rather than a guaranteed route to a particular item. Keys expire with the event.

How to farm

Before you go

Red Moon Unleashed must be active.
Earn event keys from Cultist thresholds, eligible bosses, or Revenant Bounties.
Have inventory space to inspect and keep useful drops.

Build keys by defeating Moon Cultists, completing eligible event boss encounters, or finishing Revenant Bounties.
Travel to the Base of Operations and locate the decorated event vendor.
Open the vendor’s Gear Cache option and spend keys on the cache rather than an Apparel Cache if equipment is your goal.
Open the cache from inventory or the vendor interface, then inspect its contents before dismantling anything.
Compare drops with your build and stash useful pieces; dismantle unwanted gear if you need room or materials.
If pursuing the community track, donate some keys at the vendor and claim any completed community rewards there.

Farming tips

The cache pool lists seasonal and special Named items, Exotics, and Prototype gear, but individual results are chance-based.
Gear Caches can contain Lichtenberg, a Named Classic M1A; the cache does not guarantee this weapon.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat key earning and cache opening while the event is live. The cache pool is time-limited, and remaining event keys are removed when the event ends.

Common mistakes

Expecting a specific Exotic or Prototype from each cache; inspect the pool as possibilities, not promises.
Buying Apparel Caches when targeting equipment; choose Gear Caches at the vendor.
Leaving keys unspent until after November 3; they are removed at event end.

When to stop or switch

Stop opening caches when the pieces you want are collected or remaining keys are better spent on Apparel or event milestones; spend all keys before the event ends.
