WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Grand Regent encounters, the Frosted Hills Light the Braziers challenge in NG+, or urns in level 56–65 Mapworks maps; summon Boon in a high-level area.
Boon is summoned by using Boon’s Scroll; he is not a boss to find and defeat. The scroll is a rare randomized drop. Named sources include Grand Regent, Nether Brute in the Light the Braziers Phase Beast challenge in Frosted Hills during New Game Plus, and urns in Mapworks maps at levels 56–65. After obtaining the scroll, use it in an area whose level suits the equipment you want to browse. Boon’s inventory scales with the area, and leaving then returning allows another look at his stock.
For Nether Brute, reach Frosted Hills in New Game Plus and obtain the Light the Braziers challenge draw.
Obtain Boon’s Scroll; it is not a guaranteed drop.
Choose a source route you can reach: Grand Regent, the named NG+ challenge, or urn searches in the specified Mapworks level range.
Defeat the named enemy or break urns as appropriate, checking drops after each encounter.
Continue normal runs if the scroll does not appear; the drop is randomized.
When you have the scroll, travel to a high-level area appropriate to the gear you want to inspect.
Use the scroll to summon Boon and review his available stock.
Buy useful items, then leave the area and return if you want to revisit his inventory.
Farming tips
Match the summoning area to your progression because the merchant stock scales with area level.
Budget gold before summoning so you can purchase promising items rather than spending it all on the scroll route.
Repeat, collect and use
Scroll farming can be repeated through the named sources, but each scroll drop is rare and random. Each scroll is consumed when used.
Common mistakes
Searching for Boon as a fixed map boss; carry and use the scroll to summon him.
Expecting the NG+ challenge or urns to guarantee the scroll; continue only if the run remains worthwhile.
Summoning in a low-level area for endgame stock; use a suitably high-level area.
When to stop or switch
Stop source farming when you obtain the scroll or the route no longer fits your progression; stop shopping when the stock no longer justifies your gold.
