Loot farming produces equipment you will not always use. Selling genuine surplus to town vendors creates a practical gold loop: clear content, compare drops, keep useful items, and sell the rest to fund the next map or a measured gambling session. Avoid selling an item before checking sockets and effects; a lower-level piece may still suit a build or future character. This route generates spendable gold from ordinary drops rather than promising a special currency item.
Repeat after each loot run. The gold earned depends on the items you choose to sell; it is not a fixed payout.
Stop selling when you have enough gold for the next planned activity; keep useful gear even if it could be sold.
