Where to farm
Mapworks vendor and the portal opened by a purchased map scroll.
Mapworks is a post-campaign source of repeatable areas whose level and monster set vary by map. Choose a map near your character’s current progression, clear it thoroughly, and judge the results against the time and danger of the run. Legendary drops are random; reaching a high-level area makes them eligible, not certain.
Have enough gold for a map scroll near your level.
Bring a build that can survive the map’s enemies.
At the Mapworks vendor, inspect available scrolls and choose one near your character’s level.
Check the map’s monster set and level before spending gold; favor a map you can clear comfortably.
Enter through the map portal and clear each floor, collecting useful drops along the way.
Defeat the final boss and inspect the reward area and your inventory.
Sell or store items after comparing their stats, sockets, and effects with your current gear.
Buy another suitable scroll and repeat while the loot and experience remain useful.
Farming tips
Higher-level areas are the supported route for Legendary eligibility; no specific map guarantees a Legendary.
A map you finish reliably can yield more usable gear over time than one that repeatedly stops your run.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat by purchasing and entering additional Mapworks scrolls. Each run costs gold, and individual drops are random.
Common mistakes
Expecting a Legendary on every run; treat it as a chance and keep upgrades of other rarities.
Buying a map far above your survivable level; choose a scroll your build can complete.
Leaving before the boss and reward area are checked; finish the map when the route is safe.
When to stop or switch
Switch to a higher-level or more suitable map when current runs stop improving your gear or become inefficient; pause when the danger outweighs the rewards.
