This route targets the preparation step for the Tartarus Riot: a season compass placed in the Caged Beast gameplay slot can modify Warden’s Cache rewards. The item database lists several versions, including Redgold Shackles, whose displayed effect increases quantity for caches in the Riot while also changing the encounter. The listed compass effects do not stack, and a season compass is consumed when the endgame stage begins. That makes the useful farming decision a pre-start check: match the compass to a Riot you can finish, confirm the tooltip, and do not spend multiple copies expecting their effects to add together. This is separate from the season login track and from the prison decisions that determine which inmates carry caches.
Unlock Tartarus and reach the Caged Beast gameplay setup.
Have a season compass whose tooltip applies to Warden’s Caches.
Be ready to complete the Riot after the stage begins.
Open the Caged Beast gameplay setup before consuming the stage entry.
Inspect each available season compass and confirm its exact Warden’s Cache effect and any Riot modifier.
Choose one applicable compass; do not stack duplicates because the listed effect does not stack.
Place it in a Caged Beast gameplay compass slot and verify the interface shows it equipped.
Start the stage only when you are ready to spend the compass; season compasses are consumed at stage start.
Complete the prison and Riot route, defeating the inmates that carry the caches you prepared.
After opening the caches, compare the result with the entry cost and decide whether another compass run is worthwhile.

A cache quantity modifier does not replace developing inmates or winning the Riot that unlocks their caches.

Repeat when you have another applicable compass and can complete another Caged Beast stage; the compass is consumed on entry.
