Progress Netherrealm maps at a sustainable Timemark

Build reliable map access and character strength before committing to harder farming.

PC / Global, current Tartarus season (October 2026)
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Netherrealm map device and its available Timemarks, after the campaign and Netherrealm introduction quests.

Netherrealm progression is a sequence of unlocks and regional encounters. The practical goal is to advance when your character can complete the current content consistently, while keeping a comfortable map tier available for repeat farming. A higher Timemark can advance progression, but it is not automatically the better place to spend a session.

How to farm

Before you go

  • Complete the campaign and unlock Netherrealm.
  • Follow the introduction objectives that open mapping.
  • Have enough map access to continue after a failed or slow run.
  1. Choose the lowest available progression objective shown by the Netherrealm quest route.
  2. Open a map at the current Timemark and complete its marked encounters.
  3. Defeat the regional boss when the objective calls for it.
  4. Return to the progression NPC after an objective completes and read the next task.
  5. Keep track of ordinary enemy time, deaths, boss reliability, and resources consumed.
  6. Try the next difficulty only when those measures remain manageable.
  7. Return to the comfortable tier if the harder version interrupts the map loop.

Farming tips

  • Treat unlock runs and farming runs as different goals; the best progression map need not be your regular farm.
  • Use a boss you already understand to judge readiness, rather than assuming map clear speed predicts boss success.

Repeat, collect and use

Progression objectives are completed in sequence; comfortable maps can be repeated while gathering upgrades and access materials.

Common mistakes

  • Pushing difficulty because it is unlocked: go back when slow kills or deaths make runs unreliable.
  • Spending all map access on a progression attempt: reserve enough access to resume farming afterward.

When to stop or switch

Stop raising difficulty when bosses or ordinary encounters become inconsistent; upgrade the bottleneck, then test again.
