Boss and high-tier farming

Upgrade gear before raising map difficulty

Use drops and crafting supplies to solve a clear damage or survival problem before testing harder content.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Character loadout and crafting interface between Netherrealm runs.

A targeted gear upgrade can make progression smoother than an immediate difficulty increase. Identify what actually limits the character in recent maps or boss fights, then improve that slot or replace it with a useful drop. Spend toward relevant affixes and a clear need; expensive perfection is unnecessary if a modest change makes your current route reliable.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Collect suitable gear, Flame Sand, Embers, or other materials from maps.
  • Identify a damage or survival bottleneck from actual encounters.
  • Keep enough map access to test the result afterward.
  1. Review recent maps and identify whether kills, deaths, or boss phases are the recurring problem.
  2. Inspect the gear slot most connected to that problem.
  3. Compare an available drop with the equipped item for build-relevant affixes.
  4. If crafting, read the base item and displayed costs before starting.
  5. Improve the relevant modifier or replace the weak item without chasing unrelated stats.
  6. Equip the change and return to the same comfortable map or boss for comparison.
  7. Raise difficulty only after the improved setup remains reliable.

Farming tips

  • Choose each purchase or craft to solve a named bottleneck, such as low damage uptime or poor survival.
  • Do not drain the FE and materials needed to keep your current farming route functioning.

Repeat, collect and use

Gear upgrades are repeatable as drops and materials accumulate; each craft consumes resources and results are not guaranteed.

Common mistakes

  • Chasing top-tier affixes before a basic weakness is fixed: make a practical incremental upgrade first.
  • Changing difficulty and gear together: test one change at a time so you can judge its effect.

When to stop or switch

Stop spending when the identified weakness no longer disrupts the current route; save for the next bottleneck.
