Farming steps
- Acquire Carrot Seed through a suitable loot or seed source available on your map.
- Choose a protected growing spot with level grassy or fertile ground.
- Place a Planter if you cannot use the ground or want the crop contained in the base.
- Plant the Carrot Seed and confirm placement before leaving the plot.
- Wait until the crop is harvestable, checking its in-game state rather than relying on a universal timer.
- Harvest the plant and collect the carrot output.
- Inspect crafting options for seed recovery and reserve the seed needed to restart the crop.
- Keep the seed separate from food items so it is not consumed accidentally.
- Agriculture improves crop and plant harvesting, making it relevant to regular crop tending.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the planting, harvest and seed-reserve cycle while you have Carrot Seed stock. It is a renewable crop loop once established, but each cycle depends on retaining seed.
