Where to farm
A safe base crop surface: level grassy or fertile terrain, or a Planter where ground placement is unsuitable.
Carrot Seed is one of the placeable crop seed types in Unturned. Use it to grow carrots on a suitable crop surface, then collect the harvest and keep seed stock for another cycle. Exact growth and output can depend on the game or server state, so inspect the plant and crafting options in game rather than assuming a fixed schedule or yield.
Inventory room for harvested carrots and seed reserves.
Acquire Carrot Seed through a suitable loot or seed source available on your map.
Choose a protected growing spot with level grassy or fertile ground.
Place a Planter if you cannot use the ground or want the crop contained in the base.
Plant the Carrot Seed and confirm placement before leaving the plot.
Wait until the crop is harvestable, checking its in-game state rather than relying on a universal timer.
Harvest the plant and collect the carrot output.
Inspect crafting options for seed recovery and reserve the seed needed to restart the crop.

Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the planting, harvest and seed-reserve cycle while you have Carrot Seed stock. It is a renewable crop loop once established, but each cycle depends on retaining seed.
