Choose a named settlement appropriate to your current gear and travel region. Enter carefully and clear enemies in manageable sections so containers remain accessible. Search containers and buildings for paper, scrolls, or other research materials. Collect materials and leave room for the rest of the settlement’s useful loot. Return to the castle and open the research station relevant to the materials you gathered. Review available unlocks and spend materials on a recipe that advances your current crafting plan. After discovering Dawnbreak Village, consider a servant hunt there when Scrolls are useful and you can wait for a return. Farming tips Dawnbreak Village is a named Scroll hunt destination, but direct looting is preferable when you need research materials immediately. Match the research station and material tier to the unlock you want; avoid spending materials without checking options. Repeat, collect and use You can revisit settlements for additional loot, but research unlocks are progression spending rather than a guaranteed repeatable recipe purchase.
Common mistakes Looting without checking research needs: choose a target unlock before using scarce materials.
