- Combat gear and food suited to skeletons in Burial Chambers.
- Inventory space and a safe route back to storage.
Farming steps
- Locate a Burial Chamber in the Black Forest and clear immediate exterior threats.
- Enter with a weapon ready and move carefully through the corridors.
- Search visible rooms and side branches for cores as you handle skeletons.
- Check containers and floor items before leaving each branch, keeping track of explored routes.
- Return to the entrance before carrying capacity becomes a problem and store the cores.
- Reserve cores for portals, Smelters, and Charcoal Kilns according to your next infrastructure need.
- On later Swamp trips, collect cores from Surtlings when that route suits your supplies.
- Reserve cores for portals and metal processing before spending them on optional construction.
- Mark cleared chambers so later searches can focus on unexplored locations.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat in other Burial Chambers or Swamp areas. Individual chambers and encounters are finite, but other chambers and Surtling encounters offer further opportunities.
Common mistakes
- Rushing past side rooms: check branches before exiting.
- Spending all cores on optional uses: reserve enough for planned infrastructure first.
- Entering without combat supplies: prepare for skeletons in confined corridors.
When to stop or switch
Stop when planned portals, Smelters, and Kilns are covered; collect more when a new outpost requires them.
