Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Travel through the Swamp with poison protection and collect wild turnip seed plants when found.
  2. Return to a safe farm plot in a suitable biome and remove obstructions.
  3. Till the plot with the Cultivator, leaving room between planting spots.
  4. Plant turnip seeds across the prepared ground.
  5. Read plant status if growth fails, then correct crowding, overhead cover, or biome suitability.
  6. Harvest mature turnips and store a portion for food or Cauldron use.
  7. Use reserved turnips with the planting option to grow another batch of seed plants.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat harvest and replanting while you reserve turnips for planting; the crop cycle is renewable.

Common mistakes

  • Entering the Swamp unprepared: take poison resistance and plan a safe return.
  • Planting before cultivating: prepare the soil with the Cultivator.
  • Crowding the plot: leave open space and use plant status to diagnose failed growth.

When to stop or switch

Stop enlarging the plot once its harvest covers cooking needs and preserves enough planting stock for the next cycle.
