Where to farm

A regular Merchant in Moongolow or another stage where available; Eggman in Moongolow for bulk purchases; Moon Guardians for direct drops.

Golden Eggs permanently improve the character you play, so choose your recipient before spending. Regular Merchants sell eggs for gold, Eggman in Moongolow offers bulk purchases when available, and Moon Guardians in Moongolow drop eggs when defeated. These are separate ways to make progress toward a character investment. Check that the intended character is active before collecting or purchasing an egg, then reassess your next run after the upgrade takes effect.

How to farm

Before you go

  • Have access to Moongolow or a stage with a Merchant.
  • Have gold for purchases or a build able to handle the Moon Guardian encounter.
  • Choose the character whose stats you want to improve.
  • Unlock Eggman if you want to buy eggs in bulk.
  1. Select the character you intend to invest in before starting a run.
  2. For a purchase, reach a Merchant and interact with the shop before leaving.
  3. Buy a Golden Egg for the active character and confirm the transaction.
  4. For a direct egg, play Moongolow and defeat a Moon Guardian when the encounter appears.
  5. Collect the dropped egg while still playing the intended recipient.
  6. Use Eggman in Moongolow for bulk purchases once the service is available.
  7. After the run, check the character investment and decide whether to save gold or repeat.

Farming tips

  • A regular Merchant is available once per run, so plan before opening the shop.
  • Eggman’s bulk option and the regular Merchant’s egg purchase are separate services.

Repeat, collect and use

Purchases and guardian drops can be pursued across runs. A Merchant visit is limited to once per run; guardian drops depend on the encounter.

Common mistakes

  • Buying or collecting for the wrong character: confirm the active character first.
  • Expecting the regular Merchant to bulk-sell: use Eggman when bulk buying is unlocked.
  • Leaving the shop without buying: the Merchant disappears after you exit the interaction.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the chosen character has the investment you planned, or save remaining gold for another goal.
