Big Catch adds an onboard fishing activity separate from base-game hand gathering. Build the module through a depot console, fish while traveling through the Void using resources as bait, and spend earned Scales on upgrades, decor, or resource bags.
Before you go Big Catch DLC enabled. A depot stop and access to the train builder console. An open platform suitable for the station and resources to use as bait. At a depot, inspect the intended platform and clear wall space if needed for module placement. Open the train builder console and place the Big Catch fishing station on the open platform. Depart the depot and interact with the station while traveling through the Void. Use an available resource as bait and cast the line from the station. Reel in the catch using the station controls. Collect the Scales awarded by catches. Open the station console and spend Scales on rod upgrades, decor, or resource reward bags. Farming tips Check your bait stock before casting so you do not spend a resource you meant to keep for crafting. Without Big Catch, small fish can still be collected by hand or Grappling Hook for their materials. Repeat, collect and use Repeat while traveling whenever bait is available; Scale rewards and catches depend on the DLC fishing system and are not guaranteed per cast.
Common mistakes Looking for the station in the base game without the add-on; this module requires Big Catch. Trying to place it on an unsuitable occupied platform; clear the intended space at a depot first. Treating Scales as a base-game resource; spend them through the DLC station. When to stop or switch Switch to another task when you have the desired station upgrade or reward bag, or when you need to conserve bait resources.
