Station construction takes two stages: research a blueprint at the Research Table, then build the station from the building book with its listed parts. A steady supply of wood and scrap covers the most common early needs, with scrap smelted into iron first.
Before you go Access to the Research Table and storage. A safe way to collect debris beside the train, including the tether return. Smelter, wood fuel, and Workbench as unlocked by your progression. Gather floating wood and scrap while staying close enough to return to the trolley. Use F to reel back after swimming, then store the haul before passing a gate. Feed scrap and wood to the Smelter to make iron ingots. Use the Workbench to craft any listed iron components, such as springs or bolts, when the recipe is available. Research the desired station at the Research Table, paying the displayed research cost. Open the building book and construct the researched station using its displayed materials. Farming tips Use the in-game research and build lists as the recipe authority; costs vary by station. Relocate a misplaced station with the hammer to preserve its materials and contents. Repeat, collect and use Repeat the debris-to-ingot loop whenever a newly researched station or repair needs more materials.
Common mistakes Trying to build from research alone; research unlocks the blueprint but construction still costs materials. Dismantling a station just to reposition it; hammer relocation moves it without the dismantling refund loss. Spending all wood as fuel; reserve enough for floors and structures. When to stop or switch Switch to gathering the next station’s named ingredient once the current recipe’s displayed requirements are covered.
