Farm Diamantine for higher-tier upgrades

Before you go
- Unlock access to Shrine crafting through normal progression.
- Choose a mission the squad can complete.
- Have a planned higher-tier upgrade or active contract to guide collection.
Farming steps
- Inspect your target item at the Shrine and note its current Diamantine requirement, if any.
- Check Melk’s weekly contracts for a Diamantine collection objective.
- Queue a mission suitable for the team and begin the resource sweep along the route.
- Search side areas and caches when the squad has secured the area.
- Call out pickups and collect them before moving toward extraction.
- Finish the mission so the gathered Diamantine is credited.
- Repeat until funded, then return to the Shrine and confirm the current cost before spending.
- Keep collecting Plasteel too; your planned upgrade may require both materials.
- Use the live contract board for current requirements and progress.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat missions to collect more Diamantine as needed. A matching contract is limited to the current weekly list, while Shrine upgrades consume materials and may have varying costs.
Common mistakes
- Assuming Diamantine alone funds an upgrade: check for Plasteel and every other listed cost.
- Following a fixed pickup route: locations can vary, so search available branches each run.
- Ignoring a matching Melk objective: check the active contracts before the mission.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the Shrine preview shows enough Diamantine and other required materials for your chosen upgrade, or once the active weekly contract is complete.
